Origami Talking Frog
Origami talking frog is a fun action origami toy. You can make it open and close its mouth by pulling on its "legs". There's a video of the origami talking frog in action at the end of this page. We think it looks like Kermit the Frog.

Origami Talking Frog Step 1: Start by folding the origami pig base. This is a commonly used base in origami and we've created a separate page for the instructions.
You should have this to start with.
Origami Talking Frog Step 2: Fold point A over to point B.
Origami Talking Frog Step 3: Now fold point C over to point D.
Origami Talking Frog Step 4: Now we need to make 2 inside reverse folds where marked below. This is a commonly used fold technique in origami and we do have a separate page that shows you in detail how it's done.
To make an inside reverse fold, make a mountain fold on each side of the paper, then push the tip inside so that the tip is hidden between the 2 sides of paper.
Repeat the inside reverse fold for the lower half of paper.
Origami Talking Frog Step 5: Now make a mountain fold and fold the paper in half.
Origami Talking Frog Step 6: Rotate paper 90 degrees.
Origami Talking Frog Step 7: Now make 2 mountain folds where indicated. This means that we'll be folding the paper under.
Origami Talking Frog Step 8: Now make 2 valley folds where indicated but fold it only halfway through so that the paper can stand up. As you can see, this will become our froggy's face.
Origami Talking Frog Step 9: Now pull down froggy's legs.
and you're done folding! Here comes the fun part...making your frog talk!
Place your thumbs and index fingers on each side of its legs. Pull the paper in opposite directions, small movement only. As you pull the paper, the frog's mouth will open and close!
What do you think? Does this look like Kermit the Frog?
