Origami Fan
The origami fan is easy to fold and is handy for those hot, summer days. Kids may even be distracted long enough to forget about the heat. You can use anything you have to fold the origami fan e.g. newspaper, printer paper even magazine paper.
Origami Fan Step 1: Start with a piece of paper. I'm using a lovely 6 inch (15cm) square Chiyogami Origami Paper
Origami Fan Step 2: Fold about 1 cm of the paper up from the bottom.

Origami Fan Step 3: Flip paper over and fold about 1 cm of the paper again, making sure that the edges line up at the bottom.

Origami Fan Step 4: Now we simply repeat the last 2 steps over and over untill there is no more paper to fold.

Origami Fan Step 5: And you're done! Just need to open up the fan. Make a crease around 2 inch from the bottom to create a handle for the fan. Easy and practical origami fan!
The larger orange fan was made using a large 8 1/4 inch squre Origami Paper
