Origami Hungry Fish

This can be an origami hungry fish or talking fish. When you're done folding it, you can move its tail to open and shut its mouth! Check out our video at the end of the page of this origami hungry fish in action.

Origami Hungry Fish Step 1: Start with a 6 inch x 6 inch (15 cm x 15 cm) square origami paper, color side down. Fold paper in half on the horizontal diagonal axis. Crease well and unfold.

Origami Hungry Fish Step 2: Fold both the top and bottom halves to meet the center diagonal crease.

Origami Hungry Fish Step 3: Make a mountain fold by folding paper in half on the vertical axis.

Origami Hungry Fish Step 4: Fold both the top and bottom halves to meet in the center. Crease well and unfold.

Origami Hungry Fish Step 5: Pry open the paper, then move the top flap over to the left.

Then press paper flat.

Origami Hungry Fish Step 6: Almost done! Make a diagonal fold to form its tail.

Origami Hungry Fish Step 7: Flip paper over. Make another diagonal fold here to form the tail on this side.
