Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day both fall on February 14th in 2010 - very special indeed!

Following the Chinese Zodiac calendar, we're ending the Year of the Ox and ushering in the Year of the Tiger on Feb 14th.

Celebrate by folding your own chinese zodiac origami tiger! Other origami chinese zodiac signs include ox(cow), rabbit, dragon, snake.

For Valentine's Day we have plenty of origami hearts and origami flowers for your special someone. So get busy and start folding!

 

 

 

Origami Rabbit

This origami rabbit is easy to fold and looks quite nice too. It would be a great project for parents and kids around Easter time.

Origami Rabbit Step 1: To make this origami rabbbit, start off with the color or pattern side down.

Origami Rabbit Step 2: Fold the paper in half to make a triangle:

Origami Rabbit Step 3 & 4: Open the paper back into a square and fold both sides to meet the crease in the center.

Origami Rabbit Step 5: Fold the right tip over to the left:

Origami Rabbit Step 6: Now fold the flap back up about 2/3s of the way:

Origami Rabbit Step 7: Flip the paper over onto the other side. See the dash lines on the left? You need to cut on that line, about 1/3 of the length.

Origami Rabbit Step 8: Now fold it in half:

Origami Rabbit Step 9 & 10: Since you've made the cut, you can now fold the left ends up on both sides of the paper:

And you 've got yourself an origami rabbit!
