Origami Samurai Hat
I had lots of fun making this origami samurai helmet. I used regular origami paper which was 5 7/8" square so it was a tiny hat. I decided after completing the origami that I needed to "showcase" the helmet...I needed a model! I looked around the house and it took me a while but I found the perfect candidate! Check out who models my helmet below!OK, let's get started on the origami.
Origami Samurai Helmet Step 1: Start with an origami paper color or pattern side down.

Origami Samurai Helmet Step 2: Fold it in half along the diagonal.
Origami Samurai Helmet Step 3: Fold the right side to meet the crease in the center:

Origami Samurai Helmet Step 4: Now do the same for the left side:
Origami Samurai Helmet Step 5: Look at the picture below. See the dash lines? You will fold both the right and left sides up in half. Notice that you are folding the top flap only.

Origami Samurai Helmet Step 6: Now you wil fold the top parts out along the dash lines as shown:
Origami Samurai Helmet Step 7: Now you will fold the 1st half of the bottom flap about 3/4 of the way. Make a 2nd fold so that the edges line up with the top part.

Origami Samurai Helmet Step 8: Finally, fold the back flap on the reverse side and you have yourself an Origami Samurai Helmet!
