We use standard size 6 inch x 6 inch (15cm x 15cm) square origami paper for this site unless stated otherwise.
If you can, use different types of origami paper to change the look of the finished origami and have fun with it!

Origami Triangle or Shawl Folds
This another basic origami fold called the origami triangle fold, also called the shawl or diaper fold. It is really just a valley fold along the diagonal axis of the origami paper.
Origami Triangle or Shawl or Diaper Fold Step 1: Start off with a square origami paper.
Origami Triangle or Shawl or Diaper Fold Step 2: Fold it along the dash line shown, either top to bottom or bottom to top, it doesn't matter. And you have your origami triangle fold. Easy!
Once you've made this origami triangle fold, you can proceed to make the kite base.
