Origami Organ Base Folding Instructions

The origami organ base is the starting point for origami projects such as the origami organ (or piano!) and the origami crown. It's a simple base and is easy to fold.

 

 

Origami Organ Base Step 1: Start with a square origami paper 6 inch x 6 inch, color side down. In this case, we're using 2 sided paper and the main color is yellow.

Origami Organ Base Step 2: Fold in half, bringing the top to meet the bottom edge.

Origami Organ Base Step 3: Now fold in half, this time bringing the right side to the left. Crease well and unfold.

Origami Organ Base Step 4: Fold both the right and left sides to meet the center crease.

Origami Organ Base Step 5: Now we'll make a squash fold on the right side. Unfold the right side and pry the paper open.

Press it down flat.

Origami Organ Base Step 6: Repeat Step 5 for the left side. Pry open the paper and press it down flat.
