Featured Origami Photo

A lovely photo of the origami vase from Shelly in San Jose. This is a more elaborate origami vase that requires many folds but you'll be rewarded for your effort in the end!

Origami Paper

We use standard size 6 inch x 6 inch (15cm x 15cm) square origami paper for this site unless stated otherwise. If you can, use different types of origami paper to change the look of the finished origami and have fun with it!

This crow is a traditional origami design that should be easy for anyone who has folded a crane before.

Start with an origami bird base. This is a commonly used base in origami so we've created a separate page of instructions for it. Or you can watch the video embedded below.

Fold the bottom points of the base up to meet the left and right corners.

Re-fold those two (2) points as shown. Now fold the upper flap downwards.

Then fold the piece in half lengthwise, so the crow's feet are on the inside. Next do an inside reverse fold to form the head and beak.

Now your origami crow is complete! It can easily be perched on the edge of a table (or book, etc.) as shown.
