Dollar Bill or Money Origami Sampan

A sampan is a flat-bottomed Chinese wooden boat. This model is a traditional one but it turns out you can fold it with the dollar bill as well.

And your money origami sampan is complete!

It looks like George Washington is ready to cross the Delaware in this sampan!

Did you know that during the American Revolutionary War, George Washington planned a surprise attack and crossed the icy Delaware River in Durham boats?

Durham boats are also wooden, flat-bottomed boats but they are probably larger than the sampan and were used to transport soldiers and heavy loads.
